Among those that like to migrate this way are our friendly human visitors! In fact there are a number of our current residents that started their stay a visitors and then decided to move here! This is why we are not only a hot tourist destination, but one of the best residential communities around. What you may not realize is that we receive about 2.4 million day-trip visitors every year. This makes us the main destination for tourists along the Florida Space Coast. We have a very active retiree population, and many of them were devoted to the space program for their entire career. With a land area of six miles long and a single mile wide, there is plenty of area to explore and enjoy all the wonders that the island holds. You'll find an endless number of possibilities.
Along the shore, you can experience the 27-hole golf course, take to the beach for a surf cast, or kick back and simply enjoy the sun on the warm beaches. If you keep your eyes open, there is a good chance you'll get the chance to spot the playful dolphins, or if luck is on your side you may be able to watch the spectacular migration of a whale.
